Regarding the plastic medals, it's important to note that while wooden medals might seem like a more environmentally friendly option, the reality is a bit different. The wooden blanks used for medals in the UK travel all the way from China, which isn't great for the environment. In contrast, our plastic medals are made from recycled materials right here in Bradford, just under 10 miles from the start of the White Rose Ultra. This approach not only supports local recycling efforts but also minimises transportation emissions. We also want to acknowledge the concerns about the GPX and marker signs not matching up well. We've put out an open apology on social media regarding the gpx and markers, explaining the situation, and we appreciate your understanding as we work to improve the experience for everyone.
